Typology Final Poster Evaluation

I am happy with the final result of my typology poster as I think I've successfully produced what I set out to do. I wanted to represent the characters in a comedic setting to play on the stereotype of high school yearbooks whilst also using tone and detail to replicate the intricate puppets, costumes and models that comprise a lot of these characters. I think the use of tone works well in this piece as I think it fits in with the theme of yearbooks, as traditionally those photos are in black and white, so I knew I would be restricting myself to those two colours. If I had this brief again some things I would improve would be the typeface and the composition of the characters. I feel that I spent a lot of time developing the characters but I could've put more thought into the type to make the piece more interesting. I also think that while the composition of vignettes I chose works in the way I chose, I'd like to further experiment with different ways in which to show the characters on the page. I would also like to experiment with different characters for each letter before choosing them for the final poster, as in my research I found a lot of strange and interesting designs I could have worked into this brief.
